                     MIGRATION TENDENCIES OF NOVI PAZAR STUDENTS
                                    AT THE BEGINNING OF 2020


                     Abstract: Migration movements of population represent a very significant
               demographic  phenomenon.  The  primary  purpose  of  the  paper  is  to  emphasize
               onto possible migration movements of highly educated population of Novi Pazar
               and its surroundings, and also for this negative trend shall be very acute in the
               following period. The main aim of the research is directed towards examining of
               the students of State University of Novi Pazar related to migration movements. The
               most significant migration tendencies have been elaborated within the paper being
               characteristic for student population. Also, a part of the results have been presented
               within the paper of the empirical research “The Analyse of Attitudes and Opinions
               of the Youth Related to Migration Movements by Starting Own Business”. The
               devastating results, among others, show that one third of the future highly educated
               population of Novi Pazar thinks on leaving this place permanently. The research
               results should serve as a base to creators of the migration policy with the aim of
               planning of the activities of creating a strategy that shall contribute to creation of
               an appropriate ambient for the youth to stay in Novi Pazar, or after finishing their
               studies, to prepare to come back to the city temporally. Otherwise, regardless of
               the current high birth rate, the city shall start to be emptied demographically in the
               future, but also stay without necessary developing intellectual potential, where its
               further sustainability shall be endangered.
