THE MUSIC OF SANJAK IN MUSIC COLLECTIONS

Abstract: The music of Sanjak has been the subject of several ethno-musical
researches, valuation and adaptations from the aspect of Musical Pedagogy, but
also of a musical remake. Seemingly not voluminous literature with this topic is
voluminous in a huge number of songs, dances and compositions, representing the
customs of remade folk melodies. In the paper, it shall be analysed 3 ethno-musical
and combined, and 2 methodology collections. Also, the subject of our analyse shall
be two choir collections, and also one instrumental composition for the clarinet
and piano. The aim of this paper is to present to the expert and broader public the
existing collections with the Sanjak music, so as for researchers, creators, musical
theoreticians and musical pedagogists to have a review of the referent collections
and the starting base for the further work, but also to emphasise onto the existing
issues ad possibilities regarding the recorded musical materials. The analyse has
shown that a certain numbers of songs in the subject collections has not been written
in The Finish Method and it makes more difficult for their comparative research,
and a great part of the collection has not been systematised, and thus, a certain
part of the songs existing in CDs has not been ethno-musically recorded within the
               combined collections.

Key words: Music of Sanjak, folk songs, folk dances, choir compositions,
               instrumental compositions.
