THE WOMAN’S NARRATIVE WITHIN THE NOVEL OF BILIJA
Abstract: This paper is actually a part of an independent and scientific
research within the PhD Thesis under its title: “The Issue of Woman’s Narrative
and Identity in the American and Bosniac Literature”. The primary aim of the
research has been to make it closer and connect three different ethnical groups
and, with the detailed analyse of the separated novels, historical events and minor
fragments of history, comes to the conclusion on how much a woman is deserved
for keeping of tradition, culture and literature. This part of the paper, in concrete,
discusses on the woman’s narrative within the novel Bilija by Bisera Boskailo and
has for its aim better understanding of a woman’s identity and narrative within
the Bosniac literature. As a representative of she-Bosniacs, Bisera gives her own
contribution within the general PhD Thesis that discusses the writers of both, Linda
Hogan and Tony Morrison. This part of the research has for the aim to present the
novel Bilija and discuss the issue of a woman’s identity within the one.
