THE CONTINUITY OF FOLK MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS OF SUVI
DO WITH THE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS OF THE SERBIAN
FRESCO PAINTING

Abstract: It is reconsidered in the paper the connection and consistency of
the folk musical instruments present within the musical tradition of Suvi Do with the
musical instruments represented within the Serbian fresco-painting of the Paleology
Renaissance. Also, it is reconsidered the cultural connection of the domicile Serbian
population of Suvi Do with the new arrivals from Montenegro and Herzegovina.
Within it, it is reconsidered in the paper the connection of the domicile Serbian
population with the new arrivals having settled Suvi Do during 19th century and
how it was reflected onto the presence, preservation and continuity of musical
instruments from the middle age until present days.
